As Father's Day approach, I can't help but miss him. However, I am always comforted with the thought that he's looking down at me from heaven above. And all I want now is to see him smile.
He had suffered much the one year from when he was first diagnosed with colon cancer... and subsequently pneumonia and other heart problems. Heavy smoker, he was! But it did not change the fact that he had endured so much and worked so hard. Every drop of his sweat symbolised his love for us, every wrinkle on his face showed his care for us.
As much as I miss him, I know he's in a better place. So now, I wanna see a smile carved on his face forevermore, by living a good life, being a good daughter to his wife, a good sister to his children, a good aunt to his grandchildren... and being the best that I could be.
So, really, I have not lost him... for I believe he still lives in me. Always.

Night
And the spirit of life
Calling
Oh, oh, iyo
Mamela [Listen]
Oh, oh, iyo
Ubukhosi bo khokho [Throne of the ancestors]
We ndodana ye sizwe sonke [Oh, son of the nation]
Wait
There's no mountain too great
Oh, oh, iyo
Hear the words and have faith
Oh, oh, iyo
Have faith
Hela hey mamela [Hey, listen]
He lives in you
He lives in me
He watches over
Everything we see
Into the water
Into the truth
In your reflection
He lives in you
